The Adu Mante Foundation has made a generous donation of electrical appliances from Legacy Electronics in support of the upcoming maiden edition of the Teachers’ Prize Day organised by the Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly (EKMA) Education Directorate.
The donation, which included electrical gadgets such as washing machines, rice cookers, refrigerators, and microwave ovens, was presented by the Director of the Foundation, Mrs Evelyn Adu Mante to the Municipal Education Directorate ahead of the celebration scheduled to honour outstanding teachers within the municipality.
Jeffrey Adu-Mante, a representative of the Adu-Mante Foundation, explained that the gesture was motivated by the belief that teachers are often underappreciated despite their profound impact on society, and the Foundation wanted them to feel truly valued and welcomed.
” The reason for supporting this project was because we believe that in society our teachers are under appreciated and we think that we need to put more effort in appreciating our teachers because in society their the architect of our change and we need to build that around them, make them feel welcome and know that what their doing is not in vain,”
” For now, there are other institutions we are looking at but first things first, this was a call from EKMA so we are just here to support in terms of education, but aside that we do community projects, involving maybe building boreholes and wells for communities that don’t have access to water.”
Municipal Director of Education for EKMA, Mrs Gloria Gontor, received the donation on behalf of EKMA and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Foundation for its thoughtful gesture.
The Adu Mante Foundation has, over the years, engaged in various philanthropic initiatives, particularly in the areas of education, health, community development, and youth empowerment.
The brief ceremony was graced by the Executive Director of Focus One Distribution, Mrs Evelyn Adu Mante, Group Human Resource, Portia Effa Boakye and Group Finance Officer, Kwame Ababio.
